Online US Visa or ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) is a new entry requirement for foreign nationals with visa exempt status who are planning to travel to United States by air, land or sea for visits of up to 90 days. The Electronic Authorization is linked directly to your passport and is valid for a period of (2) two years. Online US Visa is not a physical document or a sticker in your passport. You must travel to the US with the same passport that was used in the Online US Visa Application. You are required to furnish the passport to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer at the port of entry into United States.
Applicants of the eligible countries list below must apply for an Online US Visa Application minimum 72 hours in advance of their flight.
To enter the United States, Canadian citizens simply need their Canadian passports. However, Canadian Permanent Residents may need to apply for an Online US Visa if they aren't already citizens of one of the nations listed below.
